I’m Amy Phan West and I’m excited to announce I’m running for Vice Chair of the California GOP!

As I watched our 47th president take the oath of office, I was filled with pride, gratitude, and an unshakeable realization that we have been given an extraordinary chance to restore the America we love—and the California we deserve. The election of President Trump truly has been a game changer and there is a bold and transformative movement sweeping across our nation and California. We must catch the wave and continue the momentum!

For too many years, the CAGOP has been losing its political influence and presence in the media. Voter registration has declined and our candidates are not winning congressional and state elections. Internally, our proxy voting system needs to be reformed. Most delegates feel they no longer have a voice because of the imbalance of voting power. The deck seems to be stacked against the real change our party needs. We need action, not more talk and nice-sounding promises.

I’m ready to raise the bar and work hand-in-hand with our party Chair and all of you to help revitalize the California GOP in innovative and impactful ways. I promise to be a proactive Vice Chair who will encourage and motivate county Central Committees and Republican organizations, including the Young Republicans and College Republicans. I will work to increase voter registration by targeting all demographics, including disenfranchised Democrats, our diverse Latino, Black, and Asian communities, and the next generation of voters and leaders as I spread our Republican and America First message far and wide.

As an American Asian who fled communist Vietnam as a child, I’m very committed to reaching out to our diverse American Asian groups, who are a key demographic that will play a crucial role in future elections!

I am a proud American, devoted wife, and mother of three wonderful sons. We are living the American Dream, for which I am so thankful. For the past two years I have served as a Councilwoman in Westminster, not without its challenges.

President Trump has promised a Golden Era and I hope we can work together to make that a reality for California and the CAGOP.
